Cortland
Foundations, LLC got its start in the roaring twenties -1928
to be exact, then known as the Cortland Corset Company. Cortland
Corset took its name from the town it was founded in, Cortland,
New York. Today, Cortland NY is known as the heart of apple
country and still the home of this long-standing bra, girdle
and corset business. It was owned by the same family up until
1995 when it was sold to its current owners. Their current
owners have shown a strong commitment to Cortland's long-standing
customer base and have welcomed former customers of the Exquisite
Form Magic Lady shapewear and Subtract girdle lines, having
taken over the Subtract styles in the late 1990's and more
recently the lightweight Magic Lady lines. Now a part of the
Venus of Cortland line, these are garments that have stood
the test of time and are known for their comfort and shaping
qualities.
